History: Earl is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi! I'm a 20lb Lhasa Apso that recently came to Coco's Heart Rescue. They named me Earl, but my Foster Mom says she likes to call me Buddy. I was pretty scared when I went home with them. But here I am, happy! My tail curls up over me when I'm happy. It was really weird cuz they put me on a leash and I froze! I couldn't move on the sidewalk, let alone that green stuff all over they call grass! But guess what! I'm running on a rope and jumping on the grass! Then there was this thing they called a step. You have to go up or down it. Really weird. But I learned that little trick pretty fast. In fact, I jump off of that step thing now. But it's still odd to go up, but I'm working on that.
I have a little Foster brother with me and he's kind of cool. We get along very well. I sleep well in my kennel at night. During the day I am penned in a large area in their home so I can roam around while being watched (I watch them too!). I love being outside. There is so much to explore.
I hope I get a family that would like to teach me to play. I'm very quiet, trusting, and a little crazy sometimes! I'm a pretty fast learner too. She says I'm coming out of my shell, but I'm not a turtle so I don't understand that. She called me Houdini a few times because as I try to figure out how to see better, slide a gate over, use my nose to get what I want. I'm pretty smart she says!
I hope to get my forever home soon!
Adoption Fee: $560 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
