Dorothy

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Dorothy!!  She’s 1 of the 4 Golden Girls from Cori’s litter.  Dorothy is a sweet 8 week old shepherd mix who would make the perfect cuddle companion. She’s a cute little fluffball who loves to play with toys and pounce around after her sister.  She is doing well in her crate and hasn’t had an accident in it.  She is doing wonderfully with potty training when taken outside regularly.

She absolutely loves being part of a family and has settled in very quickly.  She’s loves playing with her sister and warmed up to our two bigger dogs right away.

Dorothy doesn’t mind the cold and has been jumping around playfully in the snow on her potty breaks.  She’s been treat motivated and very smart with going potty and coming back in the house for such a young pup.

Dorothy can’t wait to find her forever family!  You’ll be so happy with this cuddly little fluffball!!

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
