Coral

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Age: Est DOB: 04/2023
Weight: 9 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes- would do best w/ another dog
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Coral is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Coral is a gentle little Pomeranian who is just beginning to learn what it means to be a beloved pet. As a breeder release, the world is still new and sometimes overwhelming to her, so she can be skittish and unsure at first — but she is incredibly soft‑hearted and truly wants to do the right thing.

A big turning point for Coral came when she was introduced to her foster’s resident dog. She clearly looks to other dogs for guidance and confidence, following closely and copying their behavior as she figures things out. Watching her learn “how to be a dog” is endearing and rewarding, and a confident canine companion in her future home would be a huge bonus for her.

Coral has a very sweet, non‑aggressive demeanor. While she is fearful at times, she tries to be brave and responds beautifully to patience, calm energy, and slow approaches. She walks nicely on leash, sleeps through the night, and is kennel trained. She is also doing great with potty training and is about 85% there.

She does struggle some with separation anxiety and doesn’t quite know how to fully “settle” during the day yet, so her ideal home will be one that understands her need for structure, routine, and continued support as she builds confidence.

Coral does well with dogs of all sizes and would do best with respectful children who understand how to go slow and gentle. Her foster home does currently have 3 elementary aged children and she does well with them, as they let her set the pace based on her comfort level. She has not been tested with cats. With time, kindness, and consistency, Coral has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

If you’re looking for a tenderhearted dog to nurture and cheer on as she discovers the joys of being a pampered pet, Coral may be your perfect match. 💕

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
