History: đ꧎ From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi, Bruno here! I thought it was time for an update about ME! First of all, I have gone from a teenager who had no idea what a treat was or what to do with a toy to a poochie that loves to play, especially with my tennis ball. My 2nd favorite toy is my Kong ball. I love it filled with peanut butter for a treat but I also like playing with it because it bounces all over the place. I still like a quieter home. I am full of fun, playfulness and goofiness with my foster parents but am still shy when other people visit. The vet just gave me pills to help with my anxiety and they should be helping soon. Don’t get me wrong, it's not that I don’t like people and kids, it's because I wasn’t socialized when I was little. I never nip or bite when I am scared, I just let you come to me so I can sniff you. Once I warm up, you become “my person”! When my humans have to leave, I spend time in my wire kennel. I have been here 5 weeks and have never had a potty accident so yay me!!! I love car rides, being outside and am scheduled to be neutered March 20th. Foster mama keeps telling everyone I am a good boy and that I will make a great pet for someone once I get to know them. When that happens, you will never know I had no socialization as a puppy. I love my doggie couch and enjoy not having to be locked up in my kennel all the time. I would do best in a home where I’m not alone and in my kennel all day. I need people around me. I can even be out all night without getting into mischief. I just sleep. I went from not knowing my name to responding to it. I learned how to sit and am getting really good when told to stay…but it’s so hard!! Lol.

Adoption Fee: $510 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
