Blanche

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 12/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly:  Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We recently welcomed a beautiful and loving momma dog named Cori and her four little girls named after the classic Golden Girl’s series. They are all doing so well and each hoping to find forever homes of their very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Howdy y'all, my name's Blanche, but I prefer to consider myself "Man's Best Friend". I arrived with my friends Sophia, Dorothy and Rose and have been living with Sophia in my foster home. My average day consists of playing, napping, cuddling and eating (unfortunately NOT cheesecake, but a girl can dream).

I am a young puppy with big bursts of energy and lots of cuddles and kisses to give out. I've been growing quickly and am learning all sorts of new things. The toys here are so fun and I sure have a great time playing with Sophia and the big resident dog - the smaller ones are a bit annoyed by me, so I just stay away from them.

I'm doing an amazing job potty-training! I go outside as soon as I wake up and then my foster mom has me on a pretty strict timer. Sophia and I have only had a handful of accidents combined since arriving - the best part about going outside lots is the TREATS! I also don't mind the snow and cold too much, but I bet warm sunshine on a lanai would be even better!

I sleep in my kennel and keep it nice and clean. I don't mind my crate too much. Sometimes I fuss and pout a bit, but then I settle in and go to sleep. I've slept through the night once or twice (about 6.5 hours). I usually need to get up to use the ladies room in the night once or twice. My foster mom takes me out and then I go back in my crate and go back to bed pretty quickly.

The most important thing for me right now is to stay on my consistent schedule! This helps me understand what is expected of me and makes learning all the new things a dog needs to know easier.

I'd love nothing more than to be your new best friend. I'll even travel down the road and back again with you (with a leash of course). I promise...my heart is true. I'm a pal and a confidant.

Love, your most beautiful Golden Girl Blanche

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
