History: We received a plea to help a group of male adult dogs from a local hoarding situation. It broke our hearts to see the condition the homeowner and dogs were living in. The dogs were welcomed to a temporary housing situation by a local rescuer when the homeowner was hospitalized. Unfortunately, the homeowner passed away days later. It is a heartbreaking situation and we promise to give these boys fulfilling and loving lives. They are working on their trust and confidence and doing better each day!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Beasley 🐾
Beasley is a gentle, sweet soul with impeccable manners, soft fur, and a heart of gold. Despite coming from a heartbreaking situation, he greets the world with a smile. He keeps his kennel clean and enjoys calmly walking around the house to “survey” his surroundings!
Beasley is wonderful on leash and loves exploring outdoors! He knows where the door is to go outside and patiently waits while you put his leash. He does his business right away on grass or snow and hasn’t had a single accident in the house.
At home, Beasley is a world-class cuddler. He follows his person anywhere they go and, is happiest when he knows someone is close by. Beasley is also starting to show adorable excitement in the mornings—sometimes even popping up on his hind legs in playful anticipation for the day. He is an enthusiastic eater and enjoys all kinds of treats and sniffing out goodies in his snuffle mat!
Beasley is still navigating his environment due to his blindness and occasionally bumps into soft furniture, especially when trying to find his people. He’s learning the layout more each day (think adorable iRobot 😂).
With his easygoing nature and affectionate personality, Beasley would make an amazing companion in a quiet home as a single dog or with adult dogs rather than youngsters. He truly deserves the best—and he’s ready to give his lifetime of love in return. 🩵
On 1/27/26, Beasley was diagnosed by a specialty vet ophthalmologist for retinal atrophy and cataracts. This condition means he has vision impairment (blindness) that was genetically passed down from his parents. Beasley does not experience any pain due his eyes but the doctor recommended that he sees the vet annually for his eye health.
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
