Bea

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Bea is available as a foster to adopt

Gender: Female
Breed: English Bulldog
Age: Est DOB: 02/2020
Weight: 57 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Bea is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Bea is a 6-year-old English Bulldog with a gentle heart and a goofy streak that shines brighter every day. She’s still getting used to the sounds and rhythm of life in a home, but with each passing day, she grows more confident, more curious, and more ready to love.

Bea is the kind of dog who quickly steals your heart (and maybe your socks, too!)

She has a beautifully simple routine: meals, short strolls around the block, and lots (and lots) of naps. She enjoys exploring the house in her own time, then settling back into her cozy space for another well-earned rest. While she’s still building confidence with new sounds and experiences, she finds comfort in her crate and returns there when she needs a little reassurance.

Bea is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves neck scratches, belly rubs, and will happily climb right into your lap despite her sturdy 57-pound frame. Her tongue is almost always peeking out, adding to her endlessly charming and goofy personality.

She’s very food motivated and eager to learn! Bea picked up “sit” in just a week with a few tasty freeze-dried beef liver treats! She does well on a leash, is fully crate trained, and has had zero accidents in her foster home. She’s currently working on stairs and would do best in a home with minimal steps, as they can still be a bit intimidating for her (especially going down them.)

Bea gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She has also done well with elementary-aged children and would thrive in a calm, loving home that gives her time to continue building confidence.

If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy companion who will make you laugh, keep your feet warm, and happily nap the day away by your side, Bea might just be your perfect match.

Bea is scheduled for her spay surgery, entropion surgery, and dental cleaning on Sunday, May 24. She is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program and would love to settle in with her forever family while she waits to complete her veterinary care through Coco’s Heart.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
