History: Yoshi is a super handsome yorkie who was surrendered by a commercial breeding program. He was not handled appropriately specifically by a male so he is working on his trust and confidence. A quiet and experienced family will be ideal for him to learn his second chance is a good one and letting him feel comfortable. He tries so hard to be brave and would love to meet you soon!
A Note from the Foster: Yoshi is a sweet and shy guy who loves to explore! He clearly was mishandled earlier in life and therefore is somewhat slow to warm up but he definitely wants to be involved in whatever action is happening, even if he is just observing from afar! He would be best in a home with another dog to show him the ropes and help him gain confidence. He has no fear of any dogs big or small and gets along just fine with the resident kitty! He loves following the other dogs around and is quick as a bullet dashing around the backyard! He loves sniffing around and checking everything out! He does very well sleeping in his kennel at night, and will alert you when he needs to go out. He also appreciates snuggling with the other foster yorkie in the home! If you are looking for a reserved gentleman with lots of potential this is the guy for you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
