Tucker

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Male
Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: Est DOB: 04/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!

History: We welcomed an adorable litter of deserving puppies from an overcrowded rural shelter in Texas. The puppies have been doing well in rescue and are officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes!

A Note from the Foster: Hi I'm Tucker!! My foster dad calls me TuckTuck. I just turned 8 weeks old. My foster mom says I'm full of personality and smart as a whip. After sleeping all night in my kennel, I go outside and go potty right away. I definitely know pottying outside is a good thing, because after I pee I come running up to my foster mom for my treat. I think I just need to work on knowing that's the ONLY socially acceptable potty spot. But, I've only had 1 accident in the house. So I'd say I'm doing pretty well.

After pottying outside I like to run around and wrestle my sister. I love squeaky toys and chasing the resident dogs around. I'm a pretty confident little boy and my foster mom says I'll be a dream to train because I soak up learning like a sponge.

I play for about 1-2 hours and then I sleep for 1-2 hours. I love food and snacks.

My foster mom thinks I'm part Shar-Pei because of my wrinkles and my all black tongue. She thinks I'll be super handsome when I'm older too. I think I'm super unique and fun :)

Adoption Fee: $750 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
