Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
Age: Est DOB: 01/2025
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.
A Note from the Foster:We welcomed Topher as a Temporary Foster for 9 days in May when his Foster Mom had surgery. What a gorgeous pup!
Topher easily adapted to our home and the company of our Labradoodle.
When he meets new people he gets very excited and jumps and licks, but he responds well to "off" and settles down pretty quickly.
Topher loved to run and play with our neighbor dog in their fenced yard. He is very curious and got along beautifully with their small terrier.
Topher is a happy dog! He showed no reaction or aggression towards our neighbor's dog, our other foster dog, or our 10 year old Labradoodle. He is so much fun!
Topher had his neuter surgery completed on 5/23/25 and has recovered well.
He loves to lounge on the grass out in the morning sunshine.
He is full of energy first thing in the morning, but he quickly calms with a nice chew toy to entertain him. Topher is a total snugglebug and will love lounging with you to watch a movie. He does quite well on the leash walking with our Labradoodle. He is such a handsome guy with a soft, shiny coat. He has a strong, athletic frame and big paws.
We do not have small children, so I cannot give information on that.
I think Topher will bring joy to all your family members playing, snuggling, and being a great outdoor companion. We had a great time fostering Topher!
Topher is now with a loving foster family who will foster him until he meets his forever family.
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
