Tiana

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Husky & Collie Mix
Age: Est DOB: 05/2024
Weight: 51 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Yes
House Trained: Yes

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hello- I’m Tiana! I’m a 1.5-year-old Husky/Collie mix, about 51 pounds, and I’m a very good girl looking for my forever family.

I’m fully potty trained, sleep quietly in my kennel all night, and I keep things tidy. I walk beautifully on a leash and love playing fetch with tennis balls. I know sit and come, and I’m smart, so I learn new things quickly (and I really want to make you happy).

I’m a medium-energy girl — I love playtime, but I’m also perfectly happy to relax, nap, and just be near you. I love to jump up, but I am really just trying to hug you. I do great in the car and usually just settle in and snooze while you drive.

I love attention, but I’m also totally fine sharing love with other pets or being the only pet. It may need to be slow for little pets because I forget how big I am. I’m not aggressive at all. I’m calm most of the time, I don’t beg for food, and I just genuinely enjoy being part of the family. I settle nicely when left alone — I just need to know I’m safe and then I’m good.

I have two main personality modes:

Peaceful cuddle bug who loves to lean in close 🥰

Playful storyteller who occasionally likes to chat about her feelings (I do have feelings, thank you). 🗣️✨

I’d love a fenced yard to run and explore, but I’d also do great with someone committed to regular long walks or outdoor time.

I’d do great as a companion dog, adventure buddy, therapy dog, or honestly just your everyday best friend.

Also due to my young age, I will greatly benefit from a basic obedience course. In fact, this is required for all dogs younger than 2 years old.

I’m loving, playful, loyal, and always trying my best. If you’re looking for a sweet girl who will give you her whole heart —

I’m Tiana. And I can’t wait to meet you. 🐶💛

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
