History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: Tango is here to stay! He’s trading the Texas heat just in time for a Wisconsin winter…that is from your warm home of course! This boy came in so shy and nervous after his long travel, but after a couple days he has warmed right up to us. His treat motivation has been making it easy to teach him basic commands and doing so well with potty and kennel training. He loves to run around the yard and play with his older and bigger foster sister. She occasionally reminds him to check his manners which he respects. Then he is off to find a bone to entertain himself with. Between his admirable behaviors and his striking looks, he is the total package.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
