History and a Note from the Foster: Stormi is a beautiful, loving, and silly little pittie.
She came to Coco’s Heart from another shelter where she had been abandoned and overlooked. She has been in her current foster home since November 2023 and we just LOVE her!!
Stormi’s favorite things are fetching her chuck-it balls, snuggling under the covers with her humans, and peanut butter kongs! She has the sweetest brown eyes and a beautiful shiny black coat. When she looks at you, your heart melts!
Stormi has been living with several other dogs but has been kept separate from them. She has been fine with brief introductions, but seems to get uneasy when there is prolonged interaction. She would prefer to be the only dog in your home. She has lived with a cat and is great with her! No interest at all in the felines!
Stormi was in a different foster home with Coco’s Heart and did well with the teenaged kids in that home. She is hesitant when meeting new people, but if you have a ball for her, she will quickly warm up!
Stormi kennels easily and is not destructive at all when left loose in the home. She really is a very good girl just waiting for her perfect person!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsively more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
