History: Starry is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart. She is working on her trust and confidence and is hoping to find a patient family of her very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Looking for a little light in your life? Starry girl will light up your world!
She is a super sweet petite girl just under 7 lbs with the most stunning eyes (that are two different colors!), softest fur, and kind demeanor.
She has quickly come out of her shell and has learned how to master stairs, sit, and has gotten the hang of going for walks alongside the resident dog for guidance.
She’s very curious and will check on her people to see what they’re up to—and then has no problem finding a toy (or dog) to play with nearby. Once she’s done playing, she loves to curl up on a soft blanket for a nice nap. She also enjoys a good belly rub and will thank you with gentle licks in return :)
Starry is still working on potty training and has an occasional accident, but has been doing well on a schedule. She is also treat motivated so that has been helping her with learning new things!
She gets along and plays well with our resident dog and foster to adopt dog, who are similar size and breed to Starry. She may benefit from having a confident companion in her forever home to continue to learn from.
Starry hopes to find her forever family soon!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
