Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Male
Breed: Mini Poodle Mix
Age: Est DOB: 11/2024
Weight: 17 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: šŸ§” From Texas to Midwest šŸ¤ ā€”- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!

Stanley arrived to rescue needing a FHO surgery and did receive that shortly after arriving. He is recovering well and ready to start his journey in finding his forever home!

A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Stanley.

I’m a 13 month old poodle mix - my foster mom thinks I’m a mini golden doodle as she says I have so many characteristics of that breed. Doesn’t matter what I am as I’m mostly a very sweet, ENERGETIC puppy.

I love every animal and person I’ve met, (I bark a bit and then start to play or climb up on their lap!)  I really prefer to be where you are whenever  possible - especially in your lap.

The only thing better than snuggling w/ you is playing w/ my toys and my tennis ball!

I’m doing great on potty training.  I usually let my mom know by sitting by the door, but even so she misses my message sometimes and I’ll poop down in the laundry room.🤫

I’m also learning to hang out in my crate when no one is home. It’s a work in progress.  I do protest sometimes so shared walls are a ā€œnoā€ at least until I master the crate.

I usually sleep all night on a dog bed near my FM.   Occasionally I’ll let her know I have to potty during the night so she takes me out, I do my business, come back in, and go back to sleep.

I had hip surgery earlier this month but it hasn’t slowed me down.

I’m so excited to meet my forever family and become a true midwestern dog.  I’d do fine w/or w/out another dog in the home and w/or w/out kids - especially if they want to throw the ball for me!  If you are interested in having me join your family, fill out an application today and come meet me!
I look forward to meeting you!!

Adoption Fee: $760 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
