History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue efforts continue all winter long as we have recently welcomed another deserving group from our rural area partners in North Dakota.
A Note from the Foster: Hi my name is Sokka! I recently arrived to rescue with my brother and sisters! I do miss them but I am so excited to be starting my journey to finding my forever family! My puppy dog eyes will melt your heart but I have some other pretty great qualities too! Here a few I should mention!
🎾🧸 I love playing with toys! I’m not picky either! Squeaky, crinkly, rubbery, soft - I love them all!
👦🏼👧🏼 Speaking of playing, I also love playing with the small humans in my foster home. They are fun to chase around and the littlest one loves to pick me up and carry me!
🐕🦺🐈 I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home! I’m not even scared of the really BIG one! I also play with the cats!
🌳 My foster mom says I am doing so good going potty outside. I’ve only had a few accidents which she says is really good for such a little guy like me! When they aren't home I go in my puppy pen and potty on my special puppy pad if I need to.
💤 I sleep in my crate all night! If I whine it’s because I have to go potty and I don’t want to get my soft bed dirty. If you let me out though I do my business and go right back to bed!
🥓 I love food! I can’t wait for meal time and love to get treats for being a good boy!
I would say I’m pretty close to a perfect pup but I do have one secret mischievous quality….I love shoes! So if you don’t want to replace your shoe wardrobe you better keep them where I can’t get them 🙃
I love my foster family and they are teaching me everything I need to know to be the perfect pup for my forever family when they find me! I can’t wait to meet them! 💙

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
