History: Snug is a handsome puppy who is doing really well in rescue. He will thrive with a confident family and due to his herding tendencies due to his anticipated breed, he was returned to rescue. He hopes to find his forever family soon!
A Note from the Foster: Snug (we like to call him Patches though) has been settling in these past several days at our house after being returned to rescue and doing great! So far, Snug has napped, played with dogs, laid down on walk, and got some great cuddles in. He is enjoying getting to know our resident dog and other foster dog after a slow introduction.
Snug has been excellent in potty training with no accidents so far. He has slept through the night in his kennel without a peep! However, Snug does not enjoy his kennel and will let you know, however will go in and settle down eventually. Snug is very social and loves to play. He wants to meet everyone he sees. Snug loves water whether it is a sprinkler or the rain; he will hang out in it for as long as he can!
Snug is working on his leash skills and often wants to lay down to smell the roses (or critters). He is loving being around children, especially our 9 and 13 year olds. Snug hasn’t been around cats in our home; however got a little noisy while he was at a temp fosters when he saw a cat (or cat statue). Snug is excited to meet his adopted family and get lots of cuddles from them!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
