Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age

History: We welcomed a litter of 5 Keeshond pups to rescue after they were being discarded by a commercial breeding program. They were timid at first and unsure of that around them however have been settling into their foster homes and thriving! They are SO sweet and each hoping to find a forever home of their own soon!
A Note from the Foster: “LET’S GET READY TO RUMMMBBBLLEEE”
In this corner… weighing in at a mere several pounds of fluff… it’s SHELDON THE KEESHOND.
Step into the ring and meet your future tag-team partner - Sheldon, the pint-sized powerhouse who’s ready to wrestle his way right into your heart. This little Keeshond pup may be new to the game at such a young age, but don’t let that fool you - he’s got champion energy, high-flying cuteness, and a bark that says “I came to play!”
Sheldon’s signature moves include:
💫 The Fluff Slam (aka zoomies)
💥 The Puppy Pad Piledriver (a few circles then BAM - perfect landing on the puppy pad like a seasoned pro. Crowd goes wild 🎉)
😍 The Puppy Eyes of Doom (no one escapes this finisher)
Sheldon is quick on his paws, dangerously cute, and learning the ropes like a future Hall-of-Famer. Due to Sheldon’s age and breed, he is likely to do well with other dogs, fans of all ages, and would thrive in any home that cheers him on with love, treats, and belly rubs.
So, if you’re looking to add a four-legged legend to your roster, don’t miss out on Sheldon “The Fur-nado”. He’s ready to tag in and take home the championship belt in your heart 🏆 🐾 This pup is main event material… don’t pass him up! 🎬 🐶
Keeshonds or “Keeshonden” , pronounced KAYZ-hawnd, are known for their loyalty and friendliness, originally bred to be watch dogs for the Dutch. They are a breed that reportedly often does well with children and other animals. Keeshonds have historically excelled in obedience and agility. They do require weekly brushing to maintain their coat and grow to a size of around 35 - 45 lbs.
Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $500-$1250 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
