History: Sasha and her adorable stocky puppies arrived to rescue after needing help from a rural area in South Dakota. They are such a sweet and loving family who are officially ready to start their journeys in finding forever homes of their very own!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Sasha: The Silent Siren of the North
From the wide-open plains of South Dakota comes Sasha, a beautiful, medium-sized husky mix with a legend all her own. She arrived to rescue with her two puppies, Nova and Echo, and proved herself to be an extraordinary mama. Now that her motherly duties are complete, this gentle, magical girl is ready to begin the next chapter of her story with a forever family.
Unlike most huskies—famous for their dramatic songs and opinions—Sasha is something of a mythical rarity: a siren with no song. Instead of howls and “talking back,” she communicates with soft eyes, wagging tails, and an unwavering devotion to her people. In all her time in foster care, she’s only offered a single, whisper-quiet “awoo woo,” as if saving her voice for only the most special moments.
Sasha’s personality is as enchanting as any fairytale. She’s easy-going, happy, and absolutely adores human attention, especially praise (telling her she’s a “good girl” is basically a spell that makes her melt). As she’s grown comfortable, her playful side has begun to emerge—carrying around her beloved plush soccer ball, enjoying toys, and occasionally bursting into joyful zoomies in the yard.
This clever, low-drama husky mix is doing wonderfully with both potty training and crate training, making her an easy companion to welcome into your home. She’s content joining you on an adventure or curling up beside you on the couch, perfectly happy just being near her person.
Sasha is searching for a family who will treasure her gentle nature, blossoming playfulness, and rare husky charm—the kind you don’t hear, but feel. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a little magic and a lot of love, Sasha may be the mythical creature you’ve been waiting for. 🐾✨
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
