History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: Hi! I'm Saga but my foster mom calls me Velcro or Sweetness because I am the sweetest girl and love to be by my people. My eyes are very unique and I think one of my best qualities, each one is blue and brown!
I prefer to have all of the pets all of the time but understand my foster mom has to get things done too so I am happy chewing on my toys or treat filled kong on the floor by her. If she is taking forever doing her work I just take a nap on the floor or in my kennel by her. I am very aware to never leave her alone in a room and make sure to follow her everywhere she goes!
I like to look out the windows into the back yard too to watch for chipmunks and bunnies. I love going on walks, I get to go for a long one in the morning and another one when she comes home from work, I can pull sometimes and walk zig zag because I am excited to see so many new things but I am working on that so i don't trip my foster mom. I am very good in my kennel and don't mind being in there. I just like a treat in there when the door is going to be closed. I lay in there to take naps and my foster mom doesn't even have to close the door when I am sleeping at night because I stay in there until she wakes up in the morning, but we have to sleep in the same room or I will be sad and cry. I don't hardly bark at all either, just when I can't sleep by you.
I go potty outside all of time. I will sometimes stand by the door to tell you I need to go out but I need reminders otherwise I will hold it all day. My foster mom says my biggest quirk is I don't go potty when we go for walks I only go in my "spot" in the back yard. Sometimes you have to stay outside with me when I go potty too. I am very smart and food motivated and love to learn new things! I already know "sit", "no", and am woking on "off". I get excited and can jump up on people when I meet them so I am working on that too.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
