History: Rossie is a beautiful girl who arrived to rescue recently and immediately warmed our hearts. She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home and hopes to find them soon!
A Note from the Foster: I am fostering a sweet little girl, about 20-25 pounds of love, named Rossie who is looking for a loving fur-ever home. She is an adorable Golden Doodle. Rossie was released from a breeder at the age of 4 and has learned so much since being free to roam and explore the world now. She has been skittish and shy; however, she is coming out of her shell more and more every day. Lots of tail wags and zoomies in the morning, happy to be let out of her crate where she sleeps quietly at night, even though she is not fond of going in.
Potty training is in progress and she is very smart and is catching on quickly. We go outside every couple hours and she is very interested in what is going on out there before she does her business. Things are still a little scary for her out there, but she seems to love going out to see what is happening in the great outdoors.
She absolutely loves to cuddle and insists on some good belly rubs. This girl is very laid back and a good sleeper, plays well with toys, likes to hide and bury them, and she takes plenty of naps. She interacts well with adults. And so far, she has not had a lot of interaction with other dogs; however, with slow, proper introductions I feel she would do just fine. I am not sure how she would do with young children.
We are working on leash training. We have taken some short walks and with a little coaxing, she is catching on. She doesn't like it yet.
This little girl is a sweetheart and would love to find her human to give her a good life filled with lots of love and play and cuddles in a warm and cozy home. 💖
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
