A Note from the Foster: Meet Rosalind Eleanor (Rosie) – A Quiet Little Lady Ready for Her Fresh Start!
Say hello to Rosie, short for Rosalind Eleanor — a delicate 3-year-old Lhasapoo with soulful eyes and a heart full of untapped love. Rosie spent the first part of her life in a commercial breeding facility, and while her past was quiet and confined, her future is full of promise.
Rosie is a naturally shy girl who’s just beginning to explore the world beyond the kennel. New experiences can be overwhelming for her, but with each passing day in foster care, she’s learning that gentle hands, soft beds, and kind voices are part of a better life. She moves at her own pace, preferring calm spaces, slow introductions, and people who understand that trust takes time.
She would do best in a quiet, stable home — ideally with another calm, confident dog to guide her and show her the ropes. Rosie isn’t leash-trained yet, so a securely fenced yard is a must while she builds her confidence. She’s not the kind of dog who will run up to greet you right away — but if you’re patient and gentle, she just might tiptoe into your heart and stay there forever.
Rosie is a beautiful reminder that some of the most meaningful bonds are the ones we earn slowly. If you’re someone who believes in second chances, quiet companionship, and the joy of watching a shy soul bloom — Rosie may just be your perfect match.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
