History: Ricardo is a super handsome boy who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with his smile and happy personality. He has his paws crossed to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Riccardo (Ricky for short)!
Ricky is a charming Mini Schnauzer puppy who’s equal parts playful buddy and cuddle bug. He has that classic schnauzer look with a puppy sparkle in his eyes, and his personality is just as endearing.
Ricky can be a little timid when first meeting new people or exploring new places, but with patience and reassurance, he quickly shows his true colors — silly, affectionate, and eager to be your little shadow. Once he feels safe, he loves romping around with toys, playing chase, and snuggling right into your lap when it’s time to rest.
He’s currently in the middle of his puppy training journey and is working hard on crate training, potty training, and leash walking. Ricky also loves other dogs and enjoys having playmates to help boost his confidence and keep him entertained.
Ricky’s forever family should be ready to continue guiding him through his puppy stages with consistency, encouragement, and love. In return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, sweetness, and endless tail wags. This boy is truly full of love and can’t wait to share it with his new family!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
