History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs from a valued shelter partner who is overcrowded and looking for help. These dogs have been A+ in rescue and are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hi there, I’m RayRay! I’m an older gentleman on the hunt for my forever family — and before you scroll past thinking I’m not a puppy anymore, let me tell you why that’s exactly what makes me perfect!
Tired of potty training? Me too! I already know to do my business outside like a pro. Crate training sound like a hassle? No worries — I sleep soundly in my crate all night, keeping it clean and cozy without making a peep. Leash training feel like a chore? Not with me! I’m a perfect gentleman on the leash (though I do like to stop and smell the roses). Early morning wake-up calls not your thing? Same here — I’m more than happy to sleep in with you!
I live with other dogs about my size in my foster home, and we get along great. There are even some kitties around — I mostly ignore them, though they don’t seem super interested in hanging out with a big guy like me. (Can’t blame them — I’m a little over 70 pounds, though my foster mom says I’m still a bit skinny and will probably fill out now that I’m living the good life!)
Don’t let my age fool you — I can still keep up with the young pups and love a good adventure. Being outside is my favorite, and when I see my foster mom grab my leash, I start hopping with excitement! When I’m not exploring, you’ll find me snoozing happily on the couch, dreaming about my next big outing.
I’ve gotten a taste of the good life, and now all I’m missing is a family of my own to share it with. Could it be you?
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
