Prim

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Age: Est DOB: 07/2023
Weight: 10 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Older Kids Ideal
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Prim is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Prim!

Prim is an almost 2 year old, bear cub🐻... I mean Pomeranian! She is as soft and fluffy as she is sweet. She is learning to trust more each and every day & all she really wants is a lap to sit on.🥰 She does this absolutely adorable thing when she wants attention where she will sit up on her butt/back legs and look at you and simultaneously wave at you with both front paws. It is the cutest thing EVER!😍

She lives with my 3 resident dogs, ranging from 9lbs all the way up to 70lbs. In her short time in rescue, she has been around at least a dozen other dogs as well, and has done great with everyone she has met.🐶

Throughout the night she is kenneled.😴 She is learning to like this, but can be heard protesting this at times with a few "awoo's" when initially put in the crate. They might be the cutest little howls that I have ever witnessed. She is kenneled throughout the day M-F for 8hrs while I am at work as well as when she rides in the car.🚗

Potty training has been going great with her so far.🧻 She has not had any accidents in the house, but it does seem that she does not want to be watched when she goes potty outside. She is just a little shy with that - but can ya really blame a girl?!

Small children will likely not be ideal for Prim as loud noises and sudden movements do tend to scare her. She also likes to pace at times & isn't always sure how to lay down and relax, but as soon as you set her on your lap, she's ready to snuggle right up to you. Confidence is what we are really working on with her & I am so proud of her as she has already conquered the stairs, which were very scary at first! 💪🏻

An adopter with patience is what she is looking for, and without a doubt - her true colors will continue to shine through!✨🌈

Adoption Fee: $550 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
