History: Plum is a beautiful girl who arrived to rescue in need of medical attention urgently. Since arriving to rescue she has had her left eye removed. Her eye removal procedure has healed and she is doing well! She is officially ready to start her journey in finding her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Sweet 16lb Plum is a wonderful companion dog. She was received from a Mexican rescue.
Despite having lost her left eye, her 10 years of age, and seemingly not hearing well, she is a little joy to have around.
She’s spunky and like any pug, loves her meal times and treats and about the only time you’ll hear her bark is if you aren’t fast enough with her food dish! She does well with most other dogs, big and small. She is living with several cats, and is somewhat reactive to them if she detects them, but more in a funny rather than serious way.
Does well in a kennel. Currently she does sleep in bed with me and my other pug usually from 10pm-7am.
She doesn’t go up and down steps, so I carry her up and down my 4 steps to our fenced yard, she’s great going potty outside.
The only medicine Plum is on is eye salve which is given twice a day. She’s very used to that.
She’s a lovely little G’ma, and you can’t help smiling when she wags her cute curly tail with its 3 darker rings around the base of it!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
