History: Petunia is a beautiful cavalier who was recently returned to rescue due to issues with potty training. She has been doing well in her foster home with a consistent schedule and routine and is ready to find her forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Introducing the pleasantly precious Petunia! She is practically the perfect pup, but is anyone actually perfect? This sweet, gentle girl loves her people and all the affection she can soak up. She gets along well with other dogs and people of all ages and is not shy at all. Napping is definitely her favorite pastime, second only to cuddling. Petunia has a terrific appetite and enjoys mealtimes and even sits for treats. This little lovey sleeps all night in her fluffy bed on the floor right next to her foster mom.
Miss Petunia’s only downfall is that she’s not completely potty trained-yet. She does really well on a leash and likes to observe her four legged foster siblings as they run around the backyard. However, she is still adjusting to the sights and sounds of the outdoors which makes pottying outside kind of a scary thing. This is a work in progress and she’s doing such a great job. Lots of positive words and reinforcements (aka treats) and a consistent schedule is really helping her succeed.
Petunia is looking for a forever home where her people are willing to be patient and give her ALL the love she wants and deserves.🐶💕
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
