Orion

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Age: Est DOB: 02/2025
Weight: 8.8 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Older Kids Ideal
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Orion is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Orion is a 7-month-old Yorkshire terrier with curiosity and smarts in spades. He also loves to snuggle and will be your very best friend....especially if you have treats!

He’s a sociable little guy who enjoys the company of other pets and loves to run around. Curious, remember? He is a fantastic fetch player. He is in love with all stuffed toys and loves playing chase back and forth with our other dogs.

Orion is making great progress with potty training and has already runs for the door if you ask him if he wants to go outside. He’s smart, eager to please, and responds beautifully to anything related to a treat! They are SO yummy!

If you’re hoping to add a sweet, spirited young dog to your family, Orion is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags into his forever home.

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fees typically vary from $510-$1260 + tax. Our coordinator will be in touch with you with specific information during the application processing. For more information on where our animals come from, here is some additional information. Thank you!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
