History: Ocean is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Spiritually, the name Ocean means hope, new beginnings, and endless possibilities. ✨ We could not think of a better name for this little sweetheart.
Petite in size, with the heart of a lion… Ocean has SO MUCH love to give. She arrived to rescue surrendered from commercial breeding, this poor momma never knew life outside the wire walls until rescue… but since arriving, she has completely blossomed!
Ocean loves to explore on her morning walks, cuddle on the couch, sunbathe by the front door and take afternoon siestas with all four paws in the air. She is doing fabulous with potty training, crates without complaint but also loves to sleep in foster mom’s bed when given the opportunity.

- Ocean would be great for a retired person/ couple looking for a companion, or family with older kids.
- She has been around children and done well. However, she prefers older kiddos as she gets scared of loud noises & fast movements.
- Does good with other dogs with proper intros. Currently in foster home without other animals and has does great by herself as well!
- Lots of fluff; weighing in at 8lbs at 6yrs young!
- Loves short morning walks & afternoon naps!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
