History: Momma Luna is a beautiful scruffy gal who arrived to rescue from the streets of Mexico and was expecting a litter of puppies. Luna has been a wonderful momma and her puppies are officially ready to start accepting adoption interest!

A Note from the Foster: Luna started her life as a Mexican street dog.  When she came into rescue, she was very pregnant and in need of love.  She has been in our home for the last 2+ months.  She delivered her 8 puppies and has quickly become like family.  She is house trained, crate trained and an easy keeper.  She has been gentle and so kind to her puppies.  She is an A+ mama.  She loves all people including tiny children to adults.  Luna has enjoyed the company of our 3 resident dogs, but does not need another dog in the home to be happy. She will gladly take all of the couch snuggles!

Luna will require a home with a fenced in yard.  Having been a street dog, she loves to run free and is most happy when she is chasing squirrels and rabbits.  Due to a high pry drive (loves to chase small animals) she would do best in a home without cats and small pets.  If you are looking for a dog that loves everyone, and is easy to have around, she is the dog for you.  She is the dog you can take to the local pub with a patio.  She will be the dog that warms to everyone and will be your best friend!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
