Leslie Higgins

Adoption Status: Accepting Adoption Interest

Gender: Male
Breed: Terrier Mix
Age: DOB: 03/08/2025
Weight: 8.4 lbs as of 6 weeks old
Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Likely due to young age
Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Too Young!

History: I am Luna’s puppy and was born in rescue!

Momma Luna is a beautiful scruffy gal who arrived to rescue from the streets of Mexico and was expecting a litter of puppies. Luna has been a wonderful momma and her puppies are officially ready to start accepting adoption interest!

A Note from the Foster: Leslie is one of Luna's puppies.  Luna is a 25-pound terrier mix that was rescued from Mexico where she was a street dog.  Her puppies, born 3-8-25, have been loved and nurtured from moment one.  Luna has been a compassionate and attentive mama.  Because of her kind and thoughtful approach, her puppies are well adjusted and thriving.

Leslie has a smooth, black coat unlike his mama.  That said, it is not uncommon for this trait to develop over time.  I anticipate he will be a medium-sized dog knowing his mama is on the small size.  We have no information on his dad.  His final appearance will be a bit of a mystery.  How exciting!

Leslie is calm, regal and loves attention.  He is anxiously waiting his forever family who can help him further develop into a wonderful dog.

Adoption Fee: $750 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
