A Note from the Foster: Who’s Who of the Dog World. 2025 Edition

Who is the very goodest girl? Lennyn

Who has been the easiest foster? Lennyn

Who has the most beautiful copper-colored eyes that stare relentlessly in your eyes until you pet her? Lennyn

Who will place her paw gently on your leg, then firmly, and finally place both paws on your leg until she gets pets? Lennyn

Who will do a slow roll into a belly rub position as soon as her petting session is nearing an end? Lennyn

Who wants nothing more than to be loved by her people? Lennyn

Who is completely potty trained? Lennyn

Who is a beautiful dog with the prettiest cream and white coat? Lennyn

Who walks great on a leash?  Lennyn

Who has never been destructive in the home? Lennyn

Who willingly goes in her kennel at night for the tiniest of treats? Lennyn

Who loves long walks but is also content being a total couch potato all day? Lennyn

Lennyn has been the easiest and sweetest foster. She adores her people and is incredibly smart. Lennyn may need slower introductions to some people (five minutes for the last people she met before she was rolling over for belly rubs), while perfectly accepting of others. Since she was a stray and survived on her own for over a year, she may also be fearful/reactive of new dogs that rush at her or come near her. She does beautifully with our resident dogs, but we always practice slow introductions for at least 3 days.

Adoption Fee: $550 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
