A Note from the Foster: Meet Kai — Your New Best Friend!

Kai is a sweet, gentle pup who’s come such a long way in a short time! Since joining his foster family, this handsome boy has really blossomed — gaining confidence, showing off his silly personality, and proving what a quick learner he is.

Kai is great with other dogs, especially his foster brother, whom he adores cuddling up with for naps or playtime. He’s also become quite the snuggler with his humans and loves being close to the people he trusts.

He’s doing wonderfully with potty training, with just a couple of early accidents when his humans didn’t get him outside in time. In just a few days, Kai mastered stairs and learned how to hop right up onto the couch or naps or cuddle sessions. His confidence grows every day, and it’s been such a joy watching him discover the comforts of home.

Kai would thrive in a loving home with another friendly dog or a family ready to give him lots of attention, patience, and affection. He’s ready to keep learning, keep loving, and keep being the adorable goofball he’s become.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
