A Note from the Foster: Hi! I'm Jetts! I'm a young Yorkshire Terrier. My Foster Mom says I'm a bit shy. But she knows I have a crazy side when I flip upside down on the grass and wiggle around! I like to walk, but sometimes I just plop down! I sleep great in my crate at night. Otherwise I stay in a penned in area at her house, only because she is learning to know and trust me. I'm winning! I've been really pretty darn good about doing my business outside.
I love to sit outside and watch the world go by. She is amazed how quiet I am! I am not one of those little yapper dogs. I'm very dignified! I had a bath today, and really did not like it, but I don't think I've had too many. I'm looking and smelling pretty darn good. I have a brother, another foster staying with us. He has become a good buddy of mine. He likes to lay beside me and sometimes he squishes me a bit cuz he's a 20lb Lhasa Apso and I'm only 10 pounds.
In the evening I get snuggle time with my Fosters on the couch. I really like watching Family Fued!
My Foster took me to a Dog Days event and there were so many people! But guess what?
So many people wanted to hold me and I wasn't scared at all. Pretty chill actually. Not one of those Nervous Nelly types! I think though that I'd prefer kids a bit older, like grade school age or a nice retired person(s) that would be around to keep me busy all day, although I enjoy my nap time.
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
