Jelly Bean

Adoption Status: Pending

Gender: Female
Breed: Pomeranian
Age: Est DOB: 11/2020
Weight: 9.4 lbs
Dog Friendly: Yes- needs another dog in the home
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
House Trained: Doing great!

History: Jelly Bean is a super beautiful girl who was recently welcomed to rescue and will warm your heart with her smile and happy personality. She has her paws crossed to find her forever home soon!

A Note from the Foster: Meet Jellybean!

This absolutely adorable 4½-year-old Pomeranian is as sweet as her name! From the tips of her fluffy ears to the curl of her fluffy tail, Jellybean is pure joy wrapped in fur.

She came to us as a breeder release and is still learning what love truly means—but she’s already discovering how wonderful snuggles, gentle pets, and warm laps can be. Though she may start out shy, Jellybean will seek you out for attention once she feels safe, and her trust is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever earn and your heart will overflow with pride for this sweet girl.

Jellybean loves being around other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or two. Their presence gives her comfort and confidence as she continues to blossom. She sleeps well in her kennel at night and is making great progress with her potty routine—just be ready for a little bark in the early morning when nature calls!

Because she’s still adjusting to life outside the breeding world, Jellybean remains a flight risk. For her safety, she’ll need a securely fenced yard and a patient, watchful adopter who will help her feel secure.

This gentle soul is ready to start the next chapter of her life—a chapter filled with kindness, belly rubs, and a loving family who will show her she’s finally home with unending patience and overflowing love. 💕

I also wanted to share a few additional updates following her initial vet visit recently:

Eye: She has a Corneal scar on her left eye, but her tear production is normal, and the vet isn’t concerned.

Knees: She has a grade 3 luxating patella in her left knee. She was started on a joint supplement today, which she’ll likely need life long. The vet also performed laser therapy on both of her knees and recommends continuing this twice a week until her spay appointment, scheduled for September 24 at which time they will re evaluate and provide their recommendation.

And a grade 2 in her right knee.

At-home monitoring: She came home with a worksheet to help track any symptoms at home and determine if future surgery might be needed for her knee.

Heart: She has a low-grade heart murmur. This is fairly common and in many cases, doesn’t lead to complications. It should just be monitored annually by a veterinarian.

Ear: She had an ear infection in her right ear, which was treated during today’s visit.

Adoption Fee: $560 + tax

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
