History: We partnered with an organization down south and welcomed an adorable group of puppies to rescue who are continuing their search in finding forever homes of their very own. They are each so unique and special in their own ways and hope to meet you soon!
A note from the foster: Hi, humans and my furever family wherever you are! My name is Jalen. I guess I am a dog teenager now, I was born sometime in September last year. I am a sweet, energetic and loyal boy. I sure get excited when my humans return home.
I am a good boy. I go potty outside. I go to the door (and jump up, sorry humans) to say I need to go out or come back in.
I am not a fan of being home alone in my kennel during the day which does not happen much. I like to whine about that so my humans know how much I love them. At night I sleep just fine in my kennel.
I am trainable because I like treats. I can sit, down, bow and I am working on going around in a circle and rolling over (that one I like to do on my own but I don’t like humans helping me roll over).
I love walks, hiking adventures, getting out to see the neighborhood and greeting other dogs. I don’t bark at them, I just want to play with them. I usually am the one in the lead on a walk even though my humans think I should walk right next to them.
I don’t have any fur friends at my current home. Once I was at a temp home (so my family could go on a trip without me). My temp home had cats and lots of dogs so I had a great time there. Sometimes my current family has doggie playdates for me. Those are so much fun, I love tumbling around with dogs my size.
I do enjoy snuggling. I like to chew toys but I still sometimes like to chew on humans and their shoes so I need a reminder of the correct behavior.
I would do best in an active home. I have lots of energy and I love being outside.
Recently I even helped write some birthday scavenger hunt clues for one of my human’s birthdays. You can see the image in the posting. I signed a birthday card for one of my humans a different time.
If you think I sound fabulous (you are right), get a move on it and apply to meet me! Until then, I will be dreaming of you, my furever family.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
