History: India is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She is timid at first and will thrive with a patient family who has another confident small dog like her where she can bond with and continue to work on her trust!
A Note from the Foster: Dear Future Family,
I sure hope you see this... I'm India, a 5 yr old Pomeranian, surrendered by a commercial breeder who used me again & again for puppies. I didn't know any different, but I was really missing out on how great life could be. :( I am blind in one eye, but I get around great and my favorite activity is sleeping on my people's lap so it's not really an issue!
I love to cuddle my foster mom and my temporary foster sister, Freckles. She found her forever family and gets adopted next week! I'm SO happy for her, but also sad because I am going to miss having a furry companion to cuddle with. So, I'm writing this letter in hopes I too can find my forever family!
Something's you should know: My foster mom has been teaching me to go potty outside and I'm catching on quick- I'll even sit by the door to tell you when I want to go out! I love my crate; I snuggle in for bedtime and sleep through the night. I love having a canine friend to cuddle and learn from, so extra bonus points if I'll have a new fur-sibling! Did I mention I love cuddles? because I really, really love cuddles! I'm still shy when approached (the good life is new to me) but I am told I'm sweet as pie and give the best little kisses. I love to play and chase you outside, I'm a little gal so I bounce through the grass like a bunny!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
