History: Hoyt is an incredibly adorable senior fella who needed a second chance at a good life. He has been doing well in rescue and hopes to find his forever family soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Hoyt!
This little munchkin is 5lbs of pure LOVE! All he wants is your attention & to just be pet & he is happy as a clam! ๐
He was pretty rough looking when he came to rescue, but nothing a good couple of baths & haircut couldn't fix.โ๏ธ He was an absolute angel for this whole process - even falling asleep on the grooming table during his cut.๐ด
Hoyt lives with my three resident dogs ranging from 8lbs all the way up to 70lbs. He is a friend to all. He hasn't quite picked up on how to play just yet, my resident Husky is patiently waiting for him to though. He will bounce around him outside & Hoyt just kinda stares at him like "what do you want from me dude"๐ค
Speaking of being outside, it is probably one of his favorite things.๐ณ He loves to just prance around the yard & canvas the perimeter. He is working on learning how to go potty outside at this time. He goes once he is out there, but has a tendency to want to mark when inside. In the short time I have had him, he is starting to figure out that that is an outside activity!๐งป
Hoyt hangs out in his kennel M-F for 8+ hours while I am away at work and does very well with this. He sleeps in there as well, and does not make a peep throughout the day or night. The kennel seems to be his safe space, while he is overly friendly to anyone he meets & loves to hang out with us at home, when he's ready to rest - he will just put himself in the kennel.๐ฅฑ
He would love nothing more than to meet you real soon!โค๏ธ
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
