History: Howdy y’all! Howdy here… ready to herd your heart and shower you with affection. True to his cattle dog roots, Howdy is smart, curious, and always on the lookout for something fun to do—whether it’s chasing a ball, learning a new trick, or simply trotting by your side. He’s the kind of pup who will thrive with someone who loves to stay active and doesn’t mind a little dirt and dog hair in exchange for loyalty and laughter.
A Note from the Foster: Meet Howdy, a cattle dog pup who is full of love, energy, and a whole lot of fun! Howdy was recently rescued with his sister and is looking for his new forever home. He loves to play fetch, enjoys being with his people and has won the hearts of all he meets. He is great with other dogs and adores the yellow lab in his foster home. He is kennel trained and doing amazing with potty training. He also has no problem being on his leash or just laying in the grass watching the world around him. He is still learning his puppy manners but aims to please. Howdy has been around kids and other dogs but has not been exposed to cats. If you are looking for a sweetie pie Howdy is your guy.
Adoption Fee: $750 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
