History: Holly Holstein is a beautiful girl named after a cow due to her markings and also quite larger size for a Frenchie. She is in need of a diet pretty badly and doing well in her foster home working through this. She arrived with very smelly and dirty skin folds on her face and long nails that haven’t been cut in a long time :( She was also a bit unsure and timid at first however has warmed up in her foster home and doing great!
Something to note- there is a potential Holly is deaf as she does not seem to respond to verbal sounds.
A Note from the Foster: Certified snuggle bug alert! Holly Holstein is searching for a forever home with lots of love to spare. Holly is the sweetest, cuddliest girl around and would love a family to snuggle up with. Holly is big in size, but don't let that fool you - she loves to run and play and live the life of sweet freedom. Holly is potty trained and knows to do her business in the grass. She enjoys the outdoors, playing with dog friends and being loved up by humans at all times.
Holly is not a fan of her crate and is not shy about letting you know. She likely spent most of her time in confinement and now really prefers soft blankets and beds and not being confined. Holly is working on her figure and has been introduced to that pesky four letter word - "DIET". She does well with feeding time and doesn't seem to mind having portion control. She is not overly food motivated and exhibits no signs of resource guarding with food or toys.
She is just a loving, sweet girl who is excited to live her days with a family and love. Holly is not afraid to ask for attention and will boop you with her paws when she wants pets. She will do well in almost any home. Holly would be a great friend to another dog and would do best in a home with a dog to be her playmate and help her navigate the world ❤️

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
