Gender: Female

Kid Friendly: Likely due to young age
House Trained: Doing great!
History: We received an urgent plea to help a momma dog with her 9 newborn pups in a rural impound where they were living on the cold concrete. They were able to secure a foster family and made it to rescue! They are officially ready to start their journey in finding forever homes of their very own soon!
A Note from the Foster: Hazel is beyond special- her intuition is that of a wise soul in a puppies body. She captured our hearts immediately as she looked at us with her deep dark eyes. She initiated friendly play with our resident, 9 year old lab, and they share the same spirit of curiosity and exploration. She loves our lab for play but when it comes time to wind down, a human lap is her choice. She loves belly rubs and scratches under her chin. If you stop she will softly wine as though to tell you she would love more.
She usually sleeps through the night and if she needs to get up, she uses her potty pad and goes back to bed. She is doing great with potty training - we let her out often and she knows just what to do!
If you are looking for an intelligent and loyal puppy, Hazel is for you!
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status :Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
