History: Gladys is the happiest pompom in town and arrived to rescue seeking a second chance. At her intake exam, it was determined she had a 3/6 heart murmur and an echo was done shortly after where she is now on medication to help and pursuing another echo in 4-6 months to see how things go would be suggest. Her forever home will need to be comfortable with taking over her care and continuing to offer her the recommended medication unless otherwise noted by a veterinarian.
A Note from the Foster: Oh my goodness Gladys is the absolute sweetest pup ever!
Let me tell you about the sweetest pup ever named Gladys! This girl is all smiles and sunshine all of the time. She has literally not stopped smiling since I brought her home. She can't get enough pets and snuggles and likes to be close to me. She sleeps well through the night and can do the stairs no problem! Potty training is going well. She doesn't bark much so she could be in a home with shared walls. She is good with the other foster dogs in my home but has not shown a lot of interest in playing with them yet. So she could definitely live in the same home as another dog, but I don't know if she would want to be their best buddy. She is more interested in being my best friend and who doesn't want that! This girl's heart is bursting with so much love that it unfortunately has caused her to have some issues with it. However, her body has learned to adjust to it and she is currently taking a very inexpensive medication and will need an echo recheck this summer. It doesn't slow her down in the least and doesn't affect her activity level. If you have a love for pomeranians or have always wanted one this is your girl!
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
