History and a note from the foster: Meet the sweet and loving Giselle. Giselle is the one if you want a sidekick! Giselle has been through a lot, yet her confidence is growing daily. As her confidence grows, so does her trust in people. She is drawn more to women and is a bit skittish around men. She follows her foster mom around everywhere and wants nothing more than to get love and attention. The ideal setting would be a quiet home with another low-key dog or a home that does not have any other dogs. A puppy or a very active dog would be stressful for her. She does fine around children as long as you give her some space. She is a great eater, and it was recently discovered that she has some food allergies, so she gets some special kibble from the vet, which has really helped. She does not get crated during the day as she can be alone with her other foster friends without getting into trouble.
Giselle is not potty trained, but she is getting there. When she is taken outside, she goes every time. The key will be to take her out often. She is very food-motivated and is learning to walk on a leash. She has become excited about walks and loves to sniff around, enjoying the outside world. If you believe a snuggler and loyal girl sounds wonderful, don't miss meeting this sweet girl.
Hi, my name is Giselle, and it is nice to meet you. I wanted to share more about myself as I keep hearing the word "confidence" in my life. I was really scared of the outside world because I spent years in a crate having babies, but then these nice people broke me free and said I deserved better. Because all of these people are so nice to me, I am getting to trust them more. That is what confidence means when my foster mom says I have more of it. I know I can do it with help, so this thing called confidence grows more and more. I hope you can meet and learn more about me. I have so much love to give!

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
