History: Forrest is a super handsome fella who arrived to rescue in need of a second chance. He is officially ready to start his journey in finding his forever home!

A Note from the Foster: Forrest is an absolutely beautiful two-year-old Pomeranian. His blue eyes are gorgeous and so unusual that they get us stopped wherever we go. 

Forrest loves being outside - whether it’s lounging in the grass, exploring the yard, or going for walks, he’s happiest with the sun on his fur and a breeze in his face. At the same time, he’s an excellent snuggler and will happily curl up next to you when it’s time to wind down.

He gets along very well with other dogs and is currently living peacefully with an older golden retriever. He’s also done well around children. His comfort level with cats is unknown at this point.

Forrest sleeps well through the night and is great on a leash. He’s still working on potty training and doesn’t love the crate, so his new family will need to be patient as he continues learning.

Currently, his coat is a little lighter/thinner than it likely will be in the future. After coming into rescue, there were quite a few mats that had to be combed and snipped out. I would expect that his coat will grow to its full potential in several months. 

Forrest is a sweet, gentle pup who’s looking for a loving home with space to explore, people to cuddle, and a little time to settle in and grow.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
