History: Emmitt is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: The sweetest boy ever. It's taken a little bit of time for him to understand you don't have sleep, eat and go potty in the same place. He hasn't had an accident in his kennel for a while now. We're working really hard on a routine to go potty outside.
He is such a snuggle bug and your shadow. He was so shut down when he came to our home, I can't believe he's the same dog! He hangs out with his Frenchie brother and has a great time! He has learned to play not only with other dogs, but has figured out toys! That's a pretty amazing thing as most breeder releases don't figure that out so soon. Now that he has gained his new found freedom and doesn't have to be anxious in a kennel anymore, he's learning he doesn't have self-soothing by turning around and around in that tiny kennel. He still does his cute little spin in circles dance, but has improved with that too! Not sure if that will ever completely stop as he did it for so long, good thing it's cute!! He really is the bestest little boy who will steal your heart and give you his! He really wants a nice warm home to call his own before it gets too cold out.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
