History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own!
A Note from the Foster: When Damon first arrived, he was a shy little guy who wasn’t sure what to make of this big new world. He shook at every sound and movement… but WOW has he blossomed! In just a few days, Damon has turned into the happy, goofy, playful puppy he was always meant to be.
Damon loves everyone — kids, dogs of all sizes, and he’s perfectly respectful of the cats. He plays hard, snuggles harder, and currently sleeps in my son’s bed all night with zero issues. He’s already mastered going potty outside (we’ve had zero accidents!), and he learns incredibly fast. Within minutes he figured out how to sit politely for treats instead of jumping. Smart boy alert! 🤓💙
He’s the perfect mix of fun and cuddly, energetic and sweet. Damon will thrive in a family that can give him structure, routine, and continued training — he’s eager to learn and wants to make his people proud. He used to cry in his kennel, but he doesn’t even do that anymore. He’s learned it’s a good place to nap!
This boy is special. Damon is going to make someone very, very happy — he’s truly a gem of a pup. And have you seen those ears? They’re just as floppy and adorable as they look… and it’s possible they’re going to stand up someday, because every now and then he pops them straight up before they go all floppy again!
Adoption Fee: $760 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
