A Note from the Foster: Hi! My name is Crew, and I would LOVE to be part of your crew!
First of all (and I know we all say this) ... I am a VERY good boy.
I knsow "sit" and "lie down" and am very proud of that. I could definitely see myself learning a lot more! Not to brag, but I’m pretty athletic – so my foster mom thinks I have the potential to be good at agility or even to be a running buddy.
I’m a very chill dog when I’m inside. Naps are my jam, especially when my foster mom is working. If she needs to work in the office, she has me hang out in my crate while she’s gone. I’m not always a fan of that, since I know it means she’s leaving. . . but, once I come to terms with it, I will wait very patiently for her to come back. I haven’t had any accidents in the house or in my crate, and I always know we’ll go outside right away when she gets back.
When we’re outside on walks, I love exploring. I do bark at squirrels, bunnies. . . and those big, tall funny looking dogs(?) with fun white tails that never seem to want to say hi. Other than that, though, I'm pretty quiet! We're working on leash training too, but my foster mom would say I walk nicely about 80% of the time... it's just that other 20% that I might get a little too enthusiastic about what’s ahead of us.
I’m pretty young, so I do also love chewing on things like my tie blanket, my giraffe toy, and my bone... but I'm pretty good about not grabbing shoes. When I do think about grabbing one, I listen when my foster mom says "no".
Oh, and I can't believe I forgot to mention... I LOVE cuddles, belly rubs, and even don't mind being brushed. I love being around people, even if they're busy doing other things. So, if you can't give me scratches, I'll just grab a toy and hang out too -- that's ok with me!
Adoption Fee: $550 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
