History: We recently welcomed a group of deserving dogs who needed help from overcrowded rural shelters in Texas. They are settling into their foster homes and doing well as they start their journey in finding their forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Cottonball (aka Cotti B) – Your New Best Friend!
Cottonball, lovingly nicknamed Cotti B, is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as her fluffy coat. I’ve had the joy of fostering her and she has completely charmed everyone she’s met—kids, dogs, neighbors, you name it.
Cotti B is the definition of a cuddlebug. She loves being close to her people and will happily snuggle up for movie nights, lazy mornings, or just about any time you’re sitting still. She’s sweet, silly, and full of gentle affection.
Sometime in her past, she sustained an injury, which left her blind in one eye and her jaw misaligned, but it doesn’t hold her back in the slightest, a shining testament to her resilience. In my opinion it t gives her the cutest little face 🩷
One of her quirks? When she finishes her meals, she tips over her food and water bowls like she’s proudly declaring, “I’m done!” It’s a small, funny thing—but so uniquely her.
She has quickly learned to potty outside by learning from my resident dog, sleeps peacefully in her kennel at night, and is thriving in a home environment. We’re working on polite greetings (she sometimes jumps when she’s really happy), but she’s learning quickly and wants to please. Cotti B is great with other dogs and adores kids, making her an ideal family companion. I think she’d really enjoy a home with another friendly dog and lots of love to go around.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy sidekick who will adore you unconditionally, Cotti B might just be your perfect match.
Adoption Fee: $500 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
