History: Clara is a beautiful girl who arrived to rescue from a rural impound and brought along her four young puppies. Clara has been a wonderful momma and they are officially ready to start their journeys in finding their forever families!
A Note from the Foster: The first things you notice about Clara are her darling face, wagging tail, and sweet personality. Clara's puppies have found their families and Clara is ready to find hers! She’s thriving as an independent lady in her new world of toys, treats, and snuggles.
Clara is interested in everything around her and is always up for an adventure. When you grab her leash, she's ready at the door for an exciting walk. Snuggles in the backyard or on the couch are her favorite ways to unwind. Clara loves toys! Soft toys, squeaky toys, chewing toys, tennis balls, you name it, she’s interested!
Although confident, Clara is still learning to trust. Many things are unfamiliar to her, but quiet reassurance reminds her she’s safe. She settled right into our house and loved the family that fostered her and her puppies, especially the adult male in the house. In unfamiliar situations, men seem to make her a little nervous. Giving Clara a couple of extra minutes to warm up is worth all the love you’ll receive from her in return!
Treats encourage Clara into her kennel, and she sleeps there quietly all night and while we are gone.
This girl is smart and food motivated! Learning sit and shake has been a breeze. Clara is completely potty trained, hasn’t had any accidents, and took less than two days to start going to the door when she needed to go out.
Clara is so excited to find her forever family and can’t wait to meet you!
Adoption Fee: $510 + tax
Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful! Thank you for supporting rescue and adoption!
