History: Charming is a handsome little fella who arrived to rescue recently and immediately warmed our hearts. He is officially ready to start his journey in finding his forever home and hopes to find them soon!
A Note from the Foster: Charming sure is a special little guy! He came into our home very unsure and shut down. In his first week here he has really opened up – included tail wags and excitement when it’s time to come out of his kennel!
Charming had one accident his very first night with us but has since done all his “business” outside like a good boy! I dare say he is potty trained! He has never shown any interest in marking inside the house – even now that he has more freedom to explore. He does great in his kennel when his foster mom works from home. And we’ve found he does great at night in the kennel with a towel over it to help him feel cozy. 😊
Charming has learned our routine surprisingly quickly and has greatly benefitted from following his foster brothers’ lead. Speaking of other dogs, Charming will need another K9 friend in his new home to help in learning the ropes. A dog who would cuddle with him is a bonus – as he does his best to discreetly lay on top of his much larger foster brothers. Kitties don’t bother him at all and having a feline friend in his new home would be a-okay according to Charming.
What kind of humans is Charming looking for? Well, they will need to be patient with him as he learns the schedule and expectations. Letting him approach you really helps with his confidence. Once he figures out you’re cool, he will sit next to you, or on your foot, for comfort. He’s just learning the joys of couch snuggles and he’s a natural!
If you’re looking for a sweet little dog who is out of the wild puppy stage, Charming might be your guy! As he continues to blossom and learn about the world, we imagine him being a little shadow and constant companion (i.e. lap dog) for someone willing to nurture his full self into bloom.

Adoption Status: Is this dog available? Submitting an application is the best first step to learning if a dog is still available. There is a chance this dog could have a pending adoption when your application is submitted, however our team will offer approved applicants to be put on a waiting list for that dog. Additionally, we can make recommendations on other dogs that may be a match. Pending adoptions do not mean the adoption is finalized. Why did we implement this change? We implemented this update because, unfortunately, dogs were pending for applicants for several weeks and then the applicant would change their mind. This happens more often with puppies, as applications are submitted impulsivly more often for them. Our process is great because it takes a little time, so impulsive decisions fade. However it was unfortunate for the dogs, and the foster homes, as then the process needed to be re-started. By securing a wait-list we are able to move forward more quickly if a pending adoption falls through. This is a new process for us, so your feedback along the way is helpful!
